Stage 12 of the Tour de France 2019 is 209.5km from Toulouse to Bagnères-de-Bigorre. It's a long stage that takes the riders to the Pyrenees, with two classic climbs in the second half of the route - the Col de Peyresourde and the Hourquette d'Ancizan.

The peloton sets off from Toulouse at 1130. The riders are expected to arrive at the finish between 1653 and 1727.

Stage 12, Tour de France 2019: the route

Stage 12 of the 2019 Tour de France is 209.5km - a long stage. It takes the race to the Pyrenees, and tackles two classic climbs in the second half of the day. They are the Col de Peyresourde and the Hourquette d'Ancizan. At the top of the Hourquette, bonus seconds are available. Then, there's a descent to Bagnères-de-Bigorre.

There probably won't be a major GC shake-up, but you never know.

A good descender should win. That could be Julian Alaphilippe, but he won't be allowed too much freedom. Maybe Valverde will win.
