The official Tour de France profile for Stage 17:
The peloton sets off from the Pont du Gard at 1225. The riders are expected to arrive at the finish in Gap between 1712 and 1740.
Stage 17 of the 2019 Tour de France takes the race to the Alps. It's fairly flat at first, while it's still in the Rhone Valley. After the intermediate sprint at Vaison-la-Romaine, the road rises. The critical point should be the Col de la Sentinelle, with the top 8.5km before the finish. The organisers see this as a breakaway day.
It could be a day for Thomas de Gendt.
