With 300 days to go to the 2019 UCI World Championships in Yorkshire, the organisers have launched their search for Yorkshire Champions.

Representatives of Yorkshire 2019 were in Harrogate today, including CEO Andy Hindley. They were handing out 300 balloons, and person-ing a stand in the town centre where people could sign up to volunteer at the Championships. The volunteers will be called Yorkshire Champions.

The volunteers will work alongside official event staff to ensure the smooth running of the races. There is a variety of roles throughout the county. More than 2,000 people are needed, and you can sign up for between one and nine days. Training will be provided.

To volunteer, visit the Get Involved page of the Yorkshire World Championships website.
